Next Event - Mental Health First Aid Course - November 2023

Over 2 Saturday’s in November (11th & 18th) we are hosting a mental health first aid course at Avalon.

This course teaches participants about the signs and symptoms of mental health challenges and teaches the practical skills needed to support someone experiencing a mental health problem, experiencing a worsening of an existing mental health problem or in a mental health crisis until appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves.

Mental Health First Aid training course participants also learn about the types of help and supports available and how to help someone access the support they need.

Numbers are limited to 22 participants only. Based on demand, we will look to run the same course in term 1, 2024. Please note that the course provider charges $250/participant. If you are experiencing financial hardship please let us know.
